Combining Microneedling with Injectables: What You Need to Know

Many patients ask whether they can combine injectable treatments like Botox® and dermal fillers with their microneedling regimen. The answer is yes—and when done correctly, the combination can deliver superior, longer-lasting results.

Here’s how to safely and effectively incorporate both into your skincare journey.

💉 + 🧴 Why Injectables and Microneedling Work So Well Together

  1. Enhanced Longevity of Injectables Microneedling and personalized skincare protocols improve overall skin health and boost collagen production. This creates a stronger, more responsive foundation for injectables to work—and helps extend their longevity.

  2. Reduced Dependency on Botox and Fillers As your skin becomes firmer, more even, and healthier through microneedling and consistent product use, many patients find they need less frequent touch-ups or smaller doses of injectables.

  3. Complete Facial Rejuvenation While injectables target volume loss and wrinkles, microneedling enhances texture, tone, and skin quality. Together, they create a comprehensive, balanced approach to skin rejuvenation.

⏱️ Timing Matters: Key Rules for Safe and Effective Treatment

To ensure you get the best results from both treatments, please follow these timing guidelines:

1. The Two-Week Rule (Pre-Microneedling)

You must not receive Botox, fillers, or any injectable treatment within 2 weeks before your microneedling session.

This is a strict safety policy and helps prevent complications.

2. Post-Microneedling Injections

You can receive injections after your microneedling session—even on the same day—as long as the microneedling comes first.

3. Microneedling Takes Priority

Microneedling builds on itself with cumulative results. Plan your injections around your microneedling schedule, not the other way around, to maintain treatment momentum and consistency.

📆 Important Scheduling & Policy Notes

Our microneedling appointments are in high demand, and our calendar books out quickly. To ensure fairness and optimal care:

  • Cancellation Policy Enforced: Forgetting the two-week rule or canceling last minute due to recent injections does not exempt you from cancellation fees.

  • Limited Rescheduling Availability: If you cancel due to a scheduling conflict with injectables, it’s unlikely we can rebook you within the same month.

  • Consistency = Results: Skipping microneedling interrupts the treatment's cumulative benefits and will affect your outcomes.

How to Maximize Your Results

  1. Plan Ahead Always schedule your injectables with your microneedling calendar in mind. It’s easier to shift injection dates than to rebook microneedling.

  2. Keep Us Informed Let us know about any recent or upcoming injections. This helps us keep your treatment plan safe and effective.

  3. Stick to Your Skincare Routine Your prescribed regimen is essential. It amplifies the benefits of microneedling and prolongs your injectable results.

Do Injections Affect My Skincare Protocol?

You do NOT have to stop your skincare protocol when getting injections.  There are no precautions that need to be taken concerning our skincar protocol and your injections.

💬 Final Thoughts

When managed properly, microneedling and injectables work beautifully together to rejuvenate your skin, enhance texture and tone, and help you maintain a youthful, healthy appearance.

By following these guidelines, you're protecting your investment—and achieving the best, longest-lasting results possible.
