Proper Product Application & Dosage Guidelines

To get the best results from your products, it’s essential to apply them correctly and consistently. Following these steps ensures you're using the right dosage and maximizing absorption and effectiveness.

💧 Always Use the Dot Method

Apply all products using the dot method for even distribution:

  1. Dispense the product onto the top of your hand for control.

  2. Dot the product onto the four main sections of your face—forehead, both cheeks, and chin.

  3. Massage each section thoroughly for about 20 seconds before applying more.

  4. Repeat the process until the full dosage is applied.

🔄 Understanding Dosage: Full Pumps & Variations

  • A full pump means pressing the dispenser all the way down until no more product is released.

  • Most products require at least 2 full pumps for adequate coverage.

  • Some products will give a range, such as 2 to 4 pumps:

    • 2 pumps = Minimum for small to medium faces

    • 4 pumps = Maximum for larger faces or dry skin

  • This dosage is designed for your face and under your chin only.

If you choose to apply products to your neck or décolleté, you must increase the number of pumps accordingly. The face dosage will not be sufficient for additional areas.

🚫 Do Not Skimp on Products

Using too little product makes your regimen ineffective—you may not see results, and the products won’t perform as designed. Skimping is like watering down a recipe—the outcome will not be the same.

Think of it this way: If you don’t use the correct dosage, it’s as if you’re flushing your results—and your investment—down the drain.

🧴 Massage, Don’t Pat

  • For skin-strengthening products, always massage thoroughly into the skin.

  • The only exception is during the corrective phase, where certain products may require a patting technique after initial massaging—see the Corrective Protocol Tab for those specific instructions.

💡 How to Decide Between 2–4 Pumps

Here’s a simple way to assess how much you need:

  1. Start with 2 full pumps, using the dot method and massaging as described.

  2. If your skin still feels dry, add 1 more full pump.

  3. Still dry? Add a 4th pump.

  4. Your skin should feel moist and hydrated—not overly wet or sticky. The goal is sufficient coverage, not oversaturation.

Remember: Proper application is just as important as the products themselves. By following these steps, you’re ensuring every drop is used effectively—and setting your skin up for long-term success.

Important Dosage Reminder: Face Only—Not for Neck, Chest, or Body

Your prescribed dosage is specifically calculated for your face and just under your jawline. It is not intended for the neck, décolleté, hands, or any other area of your body.

❗ Why This Matters:

Using your current dosage beyond the intended area will:

  • Dilute the effectiveness of your protocol

  • Increase inflammation

  • Lead to subpar results that do not reflect Spruce Micro standards

✅ What You Can Use Elsewhere:

Your general skin strengthening products (excluding correctives) can—and should—be used on the neck and décolleté, but you must increase the number of pumps to account for the larger surface area.

Your protocol is designed for full coverage of the face and under the chin only. Stretching your dosage to cover more will not “save product”—it will sabotage your progress.

⚠️ The Risk of Skimping:

Underdosing leads to inflammation, which can trigger:

  • Acne

  • Rosacea

  • Pigmentation

  • Rough texture

  • Premature aging (aka inflammaging)

And while you may not see the effects right away, rest assured—they’ll show up later... and on your face.

👊 Bottom Line:

Do it right, or don’t do it at all. If you’re investing the time and resources into your skin, don’t shortcut your results by shortchanging your product application. You're worth the full dose.
