FAQ
Q: Does the procedure hurt?
​
A: No. The procedure treats the epidermal layer. There is no numbing. You can expect mild discomfort. You can take over-the-counter pain medication 24 hours before your appointment as directed by your physician or medication label to minimize discomfort. (No aspirin, blood thinning, or anti-inflammatory medication 72 hours before the procedure.)

Q: How long does the procedure take?
​
A: The procedure itself only takes about 15 minutes. From start to finish, you can expect 30 minutes tops. However, keep in mind that your total time at Spruce could last as long as an hour and a half, depending on how our schedule is flowing that particular day. We stay full and back to back. There are times when we may be running a little behind. Please plan accordingly.

Q: How long before I should see results, and does skincare affect these results?
A: Most clients see some degree of results rather quickly. The majority of our clients notice results within 1 week, but it can take up to one month and continue to improve for up to four months. This is why results are usually very apparent around treatments 3-4. However, most of our clients see results much more rapidly. Clients who use our recommended skincare faithfully and/or add growth factors to their treatment typically get better, faster results. Diet and lifestyle also have an effect on your results. We always guarantee results when our recommended combination of treatments and home care is followed.
Q: How many treatments will I need, and how often should I receive them?

A: It is our belief that it takes a series of treatments to create a true change in the look of the skin. We recommend 6-10 treatments 4-6 weeks apart. Treatments can be as close as 2 weeks apart if desired. We recommend maintaining treatments at a minimum of every 2 months.
